Review - Rules of Attraction (Simone Elkeles)

Name: Rules of Attraction.
Author: Simone Elkeles .
English name: The Law of Attraction (Second Book on Perfect Chemistry Series).
Release Date: April 27, 2010 (English), January 2011 (English)
Synopsis: When Carlos Fuentes returns to the U.S. after living a year in Mexico, wants nothing to do with life than his older brother, Alex, has built for him at an institute in Colorado. Carlos wants to live life their way and carve their own way, as did Alex. But then he meets Kiara Westford, a quiet girl who is completely intimidated by the wild character of Charles.

Carlos believes that Kiara thinks she's too good for him and refuses to admit that perhaps the girl is falling for him. But very soon realizes that being himself is just what you need Kiara.

Even when I read a long review and rescued the end of the world (which has been more hidden folder on my computer xD) , here it is.

Carlos returns to U.S. after near- escape from Chicago to Mexico, where he lived with his mother and his younger brother away from his older brother, Alex. Well, the guy has always been exposed to the underworld of gangs, so it is not surprising that little things end up entangled in the rare type. So returning to the U.S., Carlos wants to keep doing his will and move on authority of his brother Alex . What do you think? The boy just to start over tangled: S .

In a new school in a new city and new classmates, Carlos has to be attached to your new life . And when it appears Kiara, the less attractive girl (in the eyes of Charles), but begins to move you and make the world react.

I had to go through each page reminding myself that Carlos and Kiara NOT Alex and Brittany, and obviously should give them a chance .... But history did not help much with that ... Because it is very similar to "Perfect Chemistry": S (impossible relationship, her rich, the poor and gang, both starting with a difficult relationship .... etc., Etc.). I expected more from the book, not another copy of the same, with different characters and in another city: S

Carlos is pessimistic, stubborn, always he finds the dark side to everything, has a horrible manners and too skeptical . I must say, I almost hated ... His attitude at the beginning of book seems to me stupid and I think that although it has suffered what he suffered, it was a superficial and stupid person who learned NOT what happened to his brother Alex.

With Kiara will be more flexible. She is like "the girl next door" (I think this girl-on-next-door has appeared in the blog, you'll put your own label xD): is not too pretty and feminine, intelligent, funny and sarcastic, I like challenges, and is a real good girl (volunteers at a nursing home ... So that speaks well of her). And most importantly, grounding makes for stupid wild character of Charles.

Simone reuses the same topics used in "Perfect Chemistry", and that I liked a lot ... But, again with Carlos and Kiara has not been very good to say. Reading is enjoyable and fast (and amusing, I accept xD) , but without that spark that makes you feel that this could be an unforgettable story. And this time going to drop back on the player's responsibility to ensure that this does not become worse. Kiara with his decision, his attitude, his humor, and his great joke of the cookies not only helped to Carlos, but this story of the disaster saved J

's nice to see how it starts the relationship between the two protagonists (with all its ups and downs ... and his jokes xD), but otherwise have not been neither happy nor satisfied.

I still think that Simone writes very well and I like to try to be open to sex, and that I value greatly. But with this book lacked something special ... more resourceful and original S

A quick story read, funny and with a dose of too-sweet and I will clear you make you smile a while;), but which would not recommend having too many expectations: S.

PD expected more from the scene underlying the cover (not upset me, but I do not love it: S)
