Change My Name My National Insurance Card

Review - Call Me Irresistible (Susan Elizabeth Phillips)

Name: Call Me Irresistible.
Publication Date: January 18, 2011 (William Morrow), 385 pages.
Synopsis: Please respond to the biggest wedding of the year ...
Jorik Lucy is the daughter of a former president of the United States.
Meg Koranda is the fruit of legends.
One of them is about to marry Mr. Irresistible, Ted Beaudine, Wynette's favorite son, Texas. The other is not happy about this and is determined to save her friend from a mess of trouble.
But despite that Meg knows that ending the marriage of his best friend is what to do, nobody else seems to agree. Faster than you can say Lucy "Disagree", Meg becomes the most hated woman in the village, a town in which he is caught with a dead car, an empty wallet and a very angry boyfriend. Broken, jammed, and without his famous father to her back, Meg is sure she can survive on its own ingenuity. What's the worst that can happen? Lose your heart to the one Mr. Irresistible? Not likely. Not likely at all.

Score:

Meg is an heiress of Hollywood talent. His mother was one of the best models for a few years ago and now owns one of the best talent agencies. His father, actor and writer, also has all the glow about him. And not to mention their younger siblings, both with promising careers. And she? Well, she is just a disaster family, the spoiled child who never grew up, which still lives under the shadow of their parents, who felt too much pressure and abandoned the race and went on to travel the world ... doing nothing. Meg has thirty years and feel a failure. And then, in the worst of his life, when it comes to Wynette, this small village in the hand of God, to attend the wedding of her best friend ... With what looks to be the perfect man.

But Meg did not come over. Meet Lucy, her best friend, for many years, and knows when she's not happy. And Ted Beaudine, Mr. Irresistible, is not the happiness of Lucy. So does everything in its power to prevent the wedding. So what does? Flee the bride, Lucy's parents, siblings, parents of Ted, Ted himself, and whoooole the whole town hates her. And is it enough? To naaaada! For now the poor are without a dollar in his pocket and stuck in the town that hates her sooo much. And it does not stop there ...

What is the worst (and best)? Well, Meg has to learn to live alone, without help from parents and money, with enormous pride that prevents you from calling their friends for help, and a lot of people who are happy to see her in such bad shape.

Meg faces difficult situations and funny, making it grow and mature. Because as any good protagonist of Susan , Meg is a bit immature, with low self-esteem (but then, living with those parents, either: S) and sooooo attitude will ferocity, ingenuity and perseverance . And firmness, because facing the angry mother of the groom, the book club that wants to blackmail her, the stupid king of the plumbing that you put hand, his daughter with her attitude stupid I am, perfect-for-Ted and Ted ... , NO easy task.

Ted, aka Mr. Irresistible hate it, and Meg feels too strong to fall into their clutches ... Well, with the two together in the same village, things are not easy (and less at birth attraction).

The book, told in third person is completely attractive. Read the adventures of Meg is pretty funny, and all the follies committed by the inhabitants of Wynette. View page to page growth Meg is rewarding, and suffer their tragedies and laugh with his jokes.

What attracted me to this book is that, unlike the above I've read of Sep, it only intrudes into the thoughts of Meg . Yes, it's in third person, but never delves into Ted's head, so it never really know what you're thinking, what you feel and what you think of Meg (although that remains a bit unclear in his attitude) . Meg And through, we realize that Mr. Irresistible and Perfect, is not as perfect as it seems, is not as callous as it sounds, and yes it is hard as it looks xD

is a funny story, light, full of special touches Sep: immaturity and unexpected love . Although some partecillas seemed a bit slow, slightly decaying rate, I think is one of the best books of Susan ... And if you like contemporary romance adult literature, this truly is a book that becomes a must read.
